Linda Jean Crawford Powers

Linda Jean Crawford Powers, 63, of Kingsport, went to be with her Lord surrounded by her loving family Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at her home. This lady endured so much with an unwavering faith. She is a true Christian and an inspiration to so many. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Linda made a positive impact on all she encountered. Everyone who knew her, or knew of her, loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert "Bob" and Jennie Porter Crawford; mother and father-in-law, Charlie and Lola Powers; and infant granddaughter, Aubrey Marlena Rigsby.

Linda is survived by her husband of 32 years, Charles "Clayton" (Pop) Powers; sons, Robert James Pritt and wife Debbie, of Kingsport, and Pastor Randy Powers and wife Pam, of Mendota; daughters, April Pritt Rigsby and husband Mike, of Kingsport, and Tracey Powers Bumgardner and husband Dale, of Clevelend, NC; grandchildren, Candace Powers Bennett and husband Brent, Sarah Powers, Olivia and Alyssa Pritt, Dillon and Cheyenne Rigsby; great-grandchildren, Connor and Kellan Bennett; brothers, Hugh Crawford and wife Karen, Gary Crawford and wife Teri, of Fall Branch, Jim Crawford and wife Judy, of Kingsport, Stanley Crawford and wife Ginger, of Greeneville; sisters, Patsy Crawford Dillow and husband Danny, and Carolyn Crawford Buck and husband Kevin, of Fall Branch; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Her legacy is her testimony she leaves behind.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow with Pastor David Salley officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016, at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Hugh Crawford, Gary Crawford, Stanley Crawford, Brent Bennett, Dale Bumgardner, and Mike Rigsby. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Lane, Tony Crawford, Gene Crawford, Marshall Mitchell, and Kevin Buck.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Gravelly Baptist Church, 500 Gravely Road, Kingsport, Tennessee 37660.
