Linda Sue Mowdy

Linda Sue Mowdy, 68, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 24, 2013. She attended Valley View Baptist Church (Blountville) in memory of Zane Sutherland.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Zella Ramsey Kaywood; her father, Fred Chase; brother, Freddie Chase; and sister, Susan Bleakmore.

Linda is survived by her husband, Danny Mowdy; daughters, Lisa Sutherland (Tim) Kingsport, Tona Branham (Tony) Kingsport, Teresa Barrett, Kingsport; sons, Phil Mowdy (Sherri), Bristol, and Travis Mowdy (LeeAnn), Kingsport; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Becky King and Sheila Mowdy; several nieces, nephews, cousins; her special friend, Danny Hensley; her dog, Phoebe.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2013, at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport, with Rev. Donald Harding officiating. The graveside service will take place at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens following the funeral service. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
