Linda Self

Linda Self, 66, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2010 after a brief battle with cancer.

Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Eugene Self; parents, William and Carrie Killebrew; sister, Joy Killebrew; and brother, Bill Killebrew.

Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Kerns and husband Johnny; son, Greg Self; two grandchildren, Heather Shulick and husband, Michael, and Daniel Buckley; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Lowe and Zoey Shulick; sisters, Carolyn Killebrew, Brenda Jack, and Sandra Athey and husband Jim; brothers, Jerry Killebrew, Hugh Killebrew and wife Annette, Dan Killebrew and wife Beverly, Kenny Killebrew and wife Lori, and Ricky Killebrew and wife Bonnie; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Robert Fultz officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
