Linda Spencer

Linda Spencer, 64, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was a life long resident of Kingsport and was a member of Grassy Creek Freewill Baptist Church, The Red Hat Society and Tri-State Singles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Spencer and father, James Bishop.

Survivors include her mother, Fannie Bishop of Kingsport; two daughters, Lynn Clifford of Telford, TN, Carla Devoti of Limestone, TN; son William Hammonds and wife, Rhonda of Jonesborough, TN and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will begin at 7 pm with Rev. Dewayne Gilliam officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Chris Spears, Corey Spears, Dustin Spears, Bill Blair, Ralph Clifford and Doug Lowe. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Frazier, Randy Steadman, Johnny Steadman, Doug Baskette, Jay McCray, Ben McCray and Ed King.
