Linda Steinmann, 56, Kingsport, went to be home with the Lord Saturday, November 13, 2010, after a year-long battle with cancer. Through her journey, she found ultimate victory through her faith in Jesus.
A remarkable mother and woman, Linda was the daughter of Robert and Coralie Meyerand, and stepdaughter of Margaret Meyerand. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Steinmann and mother, Coralie Meyerand.
She is survived by her children, Justin Steinmann, Joshua Steinmann and wife Samantha, and Jennifer Gentry and husband Chad; her father, Robert Meyerand; her siblings, Nancy Free, David Meyerand, Kevin Meyerand, and Frank Martin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
A time of remembrance and celebration will follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Hamlett-Dobson Chapel with the Dr. Barry L. Burns and Rev. Ann H. Burns officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Wally Boyd, David Meyerand, Kevin Meyerand, Frank Martin, Richard Taylor and Aaron Free.
Honorary pallbearer will be Jeffrey Steinmann.
