Linda Sue Thacker

Linda Sue Thacker, 64, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 18, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Kingsport and was a lifelong resident. Linda was a homemaker, a member of Arnold's Chapel and enjoyed gardening. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Allie Roberts, and husband, Harold Marion Thacker.

Linda is survived by two daughters, Melinda Sue Thacker and Missy Dawn Thacker, both of Kingsport; son, Harold Thacker, Jr. of Kingsport; two grandchildren, Randle "Junior" Thacker and Kim Thacker, both of Kingsport; four sisters, Janie Crawford and husband, Shack of Church Hill, Hazel Fink of Kingsport, Barbara Mullins and husband, Vernon of Gray, and Wilma Dean of Kingsport; brother, Bill Roberts of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24th from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 25th at 10:00 am at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport with Pastor Steve Martin officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
