Linda Maxine Thornburg

Linda Maxine Thornburg, 67, Afton, TN, went to be with her heavenly Father, on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, surrounded by her family, at her home following a long and courageous battle with multiple illnesses.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Plaz and May Coffman; sisters, Delores Carter, Florence Johnston and Marilyn Coffman; and brothers, Howard Coffman and Troy Lee Coffman.

She is survived by her husband, Chet Thornburg; sons, Troy Thornburg and wife, Julie, and Chad Thornburg; daughters, Aletha Thornburg and James Whiteside, and Carolyn Holder and husband, Ron; grandchildren, Cassandra Bales and Victoria Collins; great-grandchildren, Alessa, Curtis, Cookie, Breaonda, Waden, Melody and Danny; brothers, Carl Coffman and Ronnie Coffman, both of Iowa; sisters, Reatta Sindt and husband Jerry of Iowa, Linda Sindt and husband, Obby of Iowa, and Wilma Hicks of Missouri; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thanks PJ, Sheerie and Ms. Glenna with Amedysis Hospice.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 am at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch with Rev. Daniel Thornburg and Rev. Eddie Malone officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
