Linda Kaye Ward
Linda Kaye Ward, 54, of Blountville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and a graduate of Sullivan Central High School. Linda was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Preceding her in death were her father, Billy Ward; and one brother, Ronnie Ward.
Survivors include her son, Phillip Mowell; mother, Pauline Ward; brother, Rick Ward and wife, Jennifera€"all of Blountville; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friends, Andy Anderson and Lynn Clark, and her special dog, Abbey.
The family will receive friends Sunday March 6, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Dr. Ed Dillowe officiating.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 3300 East Sunrise Dr., Tucson, AZ 85718, www.mdausa.org; or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org.
