Lloyd White

Lloyd White, 83, Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Born in Greene County, he had resided most of his life in Fall Branch. He was a graduate of Baileyton High School and East Tennessee State University. Lloyd was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army, for a grand total of 39 years. He retired from the Washington County School System where he had taught, served as a coach and athletic director and also as a principal. Lloyd was a member, deacon and also had taught Sunday School and had served as the Sunday School Director at the First Baptist Church of Fall Branch. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all who knew him. Lloyd was an avid sports fan and especially loved the New York Yankees.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mom, 2 sisters, and 4 brothers.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean White; daughter, Angie Arnold and husband, David; son, Scott White and wife, Amy; 4 grandchildren, Joshua Arnold and wife, Ashleigh, Leah Looney and husband, Hunter, Lance White, and Jonathan Arnold and fiancée, Kaisey Lewis; 2 step-grandchildren, Kristen and Luke Dinsmore; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-8:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Pastor Victor Wallace and Pastor Shawn Cutshall officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church Cemetery of Fall Branch. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Posts 3/265.

Pallbearers will be friends and grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Fall Branch.
