Lois Baumgart Nee

Lois Nee, 90, Kingsport, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a devoted member and former organist at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Lois had been the secretary at St. Dominic School. She was a founding member of Pandora Dance Club. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a way about her that many children called her "Grandma" as she took them under her wing.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Nee; son, James Nee; and three brothers, Edward, Paul, and Robert Baumgart.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice Schroder and husband, Bill, and Patricia Idol and husband, Walter; three grandchildren, Jennifer Register and husband, Jonathan, Heather Jarman and husband, Robert, and Alex Schroder; two great-grandchildren, Noah and June; two brothers, Ralph C. Baumgart and wife, Pauline, and Donald J. Baumgart and wife, Janice; sister-in-law, Mary Baumgart; brother-in-law, Dan Nee; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church.

The funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday at St. Dominic with Father Michael Cummins officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dan Nee, Ed Baumgart, Bob Baumgart, Tim Nee, Carl Baumgart, Ralph Baumgart, D.J. Baumgart, Dan Baumgart, Ken Baumgart and Rich Baumgart.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2517 N. John B. Dennis Hwy, Kingsport, TN 37660, or to Mountain States Foundation, Home Health Agency, 2335 Knob Creek Rd., Johnson City, TN 37604.
