Lois P. Minor

Lois P. Minor, 86, of Kingsport, died Wednesday evening, March 14, 2012. Born in Hawkins County, to parents William Miller Price and Gertrude Hawthorne Price, Lois had resided in Kingsport since 1950. She was a 1944 graduate of Surgoinsville High School. Mrs. Minor worked at the Kingsport Press for 19 years and was owner/operator of the once famous Snack House Restaurant in Kingsport and Pal's in Elizabethton. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Kingsport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Lynn L.D. Minor; sister, Inis Kirkpatrick and husband, Glen.

Lois is survived by two sisters, Margaret Price of Church Hill and Jo Ann Frazier Box and husband, Gene of Tupelo, Mississippi; niece, Margaret Ann Kennedy; and nephews, Dr. Bill Frazier and Mark Kirkpatrick; and special friends and caregivers, Dr. Eric and Mary Smith, Bailey Workman, Kyndall, Shelby and Abby Smith.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 10-11:00 am at First Baptist Church, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Dr. Marvin Cameron officiating. Interment will follow at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Rogersville. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Kingsport, 200 W. Church Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660.
