Lois Jean Sanders Patterson, 76, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Saturday December 12, 2009 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Scott County, VA, she had resided most of her life in Kingsport. She was a charter member of Homeland Baptist Church. Mrs. Patterson was a graduate of Cleveland School in Yuma, VA and of Whitney's Business College. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Love and Marie Sanders; and one brother, Jim Sanders.
Surviving are husband, Charles "Pat" Patterson, Kingsport; daughter, Tiffeney Snodgrass and husband, Mark, Kingsport; son, Jerry Patterson, Kingsport; three grandchildren, Rachel Snodgrass, Elizabeth Snodgrass, and Lexus Patterson; sisters, Carolyn Reed and husband, George, Mt. Juliet, TN, and Paula Sells, Fall Branch, TN; brother, Jack Sanders and wife, Carolyn Jo, Yuma, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Homeland Baptist Church or anytime at the home. Services will be at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor J.W. Depew and Pastor Wrightly Salling officiating.
Entombment services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Rocky Blakely, Sean Sells, Scott Sanders, Jack Sanders, Doug Patterson, and Greg Jones.
Memorial contributions may be given to Homeland Baptist Church, 2504 Hawaii Street, Kingsport, TN 37660.
