Lola Owens

Lola Owens, 87, of Fall Branch, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.  She was born in Greene County and had resided in the area all her life.  Lola was a lifelong member of Lovelace Baptist Church. She worked for many years at Piccadilly Cafeteria. Lola loved working in her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Mary Ryans, and other family members.

Lola is survived by her 2 daughters, Marie Lamp of Hurricane, WV, and Brenda Thornburg and husband, Jeff of Fall Branch; 3 grandchildren, Daniel Thornburg, Darina Shapley and Kimberly Holestin; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Lawson; 3 brothers, Jackie Ryans, Roy Ryans and Callie Ryans; and several other nieces and nephews.

Special thanks should go to Amedysis Hospice for their great care in Lola’s final days.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Allen Brummett officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 p.m.
