Lola Grace Davis Pitt

Lola Grace Davis Pitt, 79, of Chuckey, passed away peacefully Sunday April 26, 2009 at home.

Born and raised in Church Hill, she moved to Chuckey where she resided the rest of her life. Lola was a homemaker all of her life. Mrs. Pitt lived the last 11 years of her life with her daughter and caregiver, Faye.

Lola was a member of Lovelace Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She will be missed by her family and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Pitt; son, Roger Pitt; grandson, Tommy Tolley; sisters, Minnie Pitt and Janie Walters; brothers, Charles Davis, Kelly Davis, Orbin Davis and Jim Ramey.

Surviving are her daughters, Wanda Faye Tolley and husband, Roy, of Chuckey, and Joyce Willis and husband James Everett, of Chuckey; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; special friend, E. B. Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will be at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Craig Ponder officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Carl Strickler officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Tolley, Marshall Tolley, Michael Tolley, Matthew Tolley, Kenneth Joyner, and Michael Million. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Joyce, Wayne Davis, and Charles Davis, Jr.
