Lonnie Alan Watts

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Lonnie Alan Watts, 58, of Kingsport, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, May 25, 2015.

H e was of the Baptist faith and loved by all who knew him. He was as simple of a man as they come, very kind hearted and never met a stranger. Lonnie was caring, loving, giving and so full of life. He was the person that would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. Lonnie was an avid flea market trader and if he wasn't there, you could find him at Thompson Metal, or "The Metal Place" as he called it. He made many lifelong friends at those places and will be greatly missed.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Virginia Watts; infant brother, Charles Randall; first wife, Sandy Parker Watts; and beloved sister, Shirley "Sis" Watts.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sheila Watts; daughters, Jeana Estep and husband, Tim, Tina Ison and husband, Kendall, Jennifer Watts, and Angela Estep; the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Katie Estep, Connor Ison and Bandit; special friends, Billy Gilliam, Danny Barrett, Roger and Sandy Trent and "Niecy"; very special Aunt JoAnn Vaughn and Uncle, that was more like a brother, James "Dewey" Love.

A very special thank you to the first responder, Sullivan County EMS, and all the staff and nurses at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm.

The graveside service will be conducted on Thursday at 3:00 pm at Powers Cemetery in Clinchport, Virginia. Military Rites will be by American Legion Posts 3/265.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House, 418 N. State of Franklin Rd., Johnson City, TN 37604.
