Loretta Rogers Brandon, 91, of Kingsport, graduated from this life on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Holston Manor following a period of declining health. Born in Rogersville, TN on July 11, 1923, a daughter of the late James R. and Addie Shepard Rogers, she had resided in this area her entire life. She was a faithful member of Lynn Garden Baptist Church for over 60 years and a faithful member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Loretta retired from Montgomery Ward in 1980 following 40 years of service in retail sales.

She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mom, grandma, sister and friend who loved reading, eating out and going out.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff and physical therapy staff at Holston Manor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Frank Thomas Brandon (2013), and brothers, James Rogers, John Rogers and Robert Rogers.

Loretta is survived by two daughters, Janis Williams and husband, Larry of El Paso, TX, and Linda Dotson and husband, Claude of Nebo, NC; three granddaughters, Leighann Burleson and husband, Scott, Lisa Wyatt and husband, Chad, and Cindy Williams; three great-grandchildren, Scotty Burleson, Tyler Burleson, and Ariel Wyatt; sister, Lena Barnes and husband, Robert of Kingsport; sister-in-law, Patsy Rogers of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-6:00 pm at Lynn Garden Baptist Church, 301 May Ave., Kingsport, TN. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Rick Meade, Rev. Carl Strickler, Pastor Emeritus, and Rev. John Coates officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday at 2:30 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those attending the committal service are asked to assemble at Hamlett-Dobson at 2:00 pm on Saturday.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
