Louise P. Eidson, 74, of Greeneville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 12, 2012 after a hard battle with cancer.
Louise was born March 9, 1938 to the late Coy Lloyd Parsons and Pearl Gentry Parsons. She attended Mountain Valley Church of the Brethren as long as her health allowed.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Carson Eidson; two daughters, Patricia Neal of Greeneville and Shirley John Garst of Jonesborough; two sons, Harold Eidson and David Anne Eidson, all of Greeneville; her nine grandchildren, "the light of her life", Anna Charles Taylor of Chuckey, Carrie Neal, Jessica Eidson, Dalton Eidson, Brady Eidson, Kasey Eidson, Madison Eidson, all of Greeneville, Andrew Garst and Kimberly Garst, both of Jonesborough; her brothers, Junior Yvonne Parsons of Fall Branch and Stallard Mary Ruth Parsons of Surgoinsville; sister, Betty Mike Linville of Fall Branch; and several other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch with a funeral service following at 5 p.m. Rev. Wolfgang Wendland and Chaplain Greg Barlow will officiate.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, in the First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. to go in procession.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-nephews, Cody and Tyler Starnes. Honorary pallbearers will be the staffs of Dharmen Patel's office and Smokey Mountain Home Health and Hospice.
