Louise Cardwell King Haws, 85, Fall Branch, TN died at 8:06 am Monday, June 6, 2011 at Holston Manor, Kingsport, TN.
She was born in Kingsport and lived in the Fall Branch area since 1974. Louise was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Washington #57 and Pleasant Hill Jearoldstown Family Community Association. Louise loved flowers and vegetable gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie J. Haws; father, Earl Francis Cardwell, mother, Hattie Elizabeth Leedy Cardwell Jeter; daughter Betty Lou King; granddaughter, Heather Lynn King.
Survivors include her daughter, Patrica Pat King Brose of Kingsport; sons, James Jimmy H. King, Jr. of Grainger County, F. Andy King of Halifax, VA; five grandchildren, James Trey H. King III, Sarah Lindsay King Zirkle, Brantley Will King, Ashley Faith King, Allison Betty King; sisters, Thelma C. Wyatt and husband, J.T., Faye C. McConnell and husband, James. A. McConnell, Jr. of Fall Branch; three great-grandchildren, Heather Emily King, Hunter King, and Caleb King; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 am on Wednesday at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. A memorial service will held at 1 pm Wednesday at Bethel Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kaye Florence, The Rev. Dr. David A. Cagle, and Rev. Carol Noel Seaman officiating.
