Louise Gaby Kilday, age 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. She was born in Greene County, TN on June 20, 1924, the daughter of Willie and Pearl Gaby. Louise graduated from Baileyton High school in 1942. She lived most of her life in Kingsport, starting with a job at Holston Defense during the war. Louise was an excellent wife, mother, homemaker and gardener, specializing in growing roses. She was very active in her church, Trinity Church of the Brethren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Gaby; her brother, Billy Gaby, and her son, Donald Kilday, who died on this date one year ago. We are sure there is much rejoicing at their reunion in heaven.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Harold Kilday, with whom she just celebrated her 70th wedding anniversary on August 3rd. Survivors also include 2 brothers, Joe Gaby and his wife, Annie of Dayton, OH, and David Gaby and his wife, Linda, of Knoxville, TN; daughter-in-law, Lorene Kilday of Kingsport; 2 granddaughters, Stacie Torbett and her husband, Hanes of Johnson City, TN, and Stephanie Blackiston and her husband, Tim of Chattanooga, TN; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
