Louise R. Mann, 92, of Kingsport, went to her heavenly home Monday, January 5, 2009, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and a charter member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Mann was the former owner of Mann's Harley-Davidson. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed quilting and sewing.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Claude Mann; sisters, Frances Sanders, Kelly Dalton; brother, Junior Rogers; brother-in-law, Garland Dalton, and sister-in-law, Marie Rogers.
Surviving are one son, James C. Mann, Jr. and girlfriend Helen Wexler of Kingsport; two grandchildren, Jim Mann and wife Eva of Kingsport, and Todd Mann, also of Kingsport; one great-grandson, Dylan Mann; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Hobbie McCreary and Brother Larry Tolley officiating. Music will be provided by Jack and Gail Casey. Burial will follow at Vermont United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Dickens, David Bear, Jim Lyons, Jack Casey, Hugh Brummitt, and Bob Brickey. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Cedar Grove Church.
