Loyce "Sue" C. Raber, 69, of Colonial Heights, died Tuesday afternoon April 5, 2016 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after an extended illness. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she lived in Kingsport since 1981. Sue was a loving homemaker and long term officer of Aldebaran Financial. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Loyce M. Ritzler and August E. Ritzler; mother and father-in-law, Olive J. Raber and William G. Raber.
Sue is survived by her husband, Donald R. Raber, of the home; son, Peter W. Raber and wife, Katie of Kingsport, and Dr. Donald R. Raber II and wife, Kimberly of Clinton, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Henry, Ben, Ian, and Sydney; brothers, Peter Ritzler and Waylon Daniel Ryan; brother and sister-in-law, William G. Raber, Jr. and Rosemary Raber; sister-in-law, Carol Raber; nieces, nephews, and cousins, Deb, Tina, Tommy, Dan, Deb, Dee, Linsday, and Tracy; and extended family, Patti Crowson and Kristie Archer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
