Lucille B. Cody

Lucille Brown Cody, of Fall Branch, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 at Holston Valley Medical Center on August 15, 2022, with her loving family by her side. Born in Washington County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Ella Lovell Brown. Lucille was a longstanding member of the First Baptist Church of Fall Branch. She was a Children’s Sunday School Teacher and also worked with the WMU and taught adult ladies’ class for many years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer E. Cody, of 43 years; three sisters, Edith Shipley, Grace Jones, and Gladys Hayes; and two brothers, Will and Glen Brown.

Lucille is survived by two very special nephews, Billy Shipley and Eddie Jones and wife Emily; and niece, Linda Reed and husband Jimmy.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Al South officiating.

Burial will follow at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
