Lucille L. Grills, 85, Kingsport, died Sunday, March 21, 2010.
Lucille was born in Maryland. Prior to coming to Kingsport in 1943 she had lived in York, PA. She was an employee of Mason Dixon where she was a secretary, and later Lucille was in retail sales, having worked at Nettie Lee Shop and Country Mills Shop, from which she retired.
Lucille was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She had been active as a volunteer for the Kingsport FunFest for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ioletta Helfrick Loudenslager; sister, Phyllis Harwood; and son-in-law, Jeff Raines.
Surviving are daughter, Debbie Grills, Kingsport; son, Eddie Grills and wife Mary Jane, Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Jimmie Salyer and husband Johnny, Joey Raines, Jacob Raines, Hogan Grills, Teran Grills, and Sperry Grills; and three great-grandchildren, Dakota Salyer, Haley Salyer, and Drew Salyer.
Services will be Monday, March 29, at 12:00 noon at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Steven Counts officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 prior to the service.
Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
