Lucy Gray Lamb McNeill

Lucy McNeill, 97, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Indian Path Medical Center.

Formerly of Whiteville, NC, she had worked at and retired from Columbus County Hospital.

Mrs. McNeill was a member of Homeland Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, N. A. McNeill; second husband, Dennis Williams; two sons, Nick McNeill and Bolling McNeill; two sisters; and three brothers.

Surviving are her daughter, Evelyn Thomas and husband Roy of Kingsport; two daughters-in-law, Donna Roberts, Christiansburg, VA and Linda Hill McNeill, Brunswick, NC; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Gail Paquette of Kingsport.

The family extends a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Brookhaven Manor where she had resided for the past fifteen months.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport and any time at the home of her granddaughter, Martha Dingus.

Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor J. W. Depew officiating. Music will be provided by Damon Depew.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Holston View Cemetery.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
