Lucy Deane Scott

Deane Scott, 86, of Blountville, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2025. Born in Watauga, she has lived in this area most of her life. She worked as a supervisor and part owner in United Casting Company. Deane attended Muddy Creek Baptist Church and was actively involved. She loved her family.

Deane was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Pearl Scott; two sisters, Ruth Campbell and Dorothy Atkins. She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Acklin and Tammy Smith and husband Darren; two grandchildren, Morgan Spangler and Amber Miller; sisters, Wanda Gootee and husband Terry and Carolyn Varnado and husband, Tommy; brother, Robert Scott and wife Pat; several nieces and nephews and the love of her life, Bill Vittatoe.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Blountville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Bro. Thomas Minx. The graveside service will follow in the Garden of Solomon.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
