Luther Marion Wolfe

Luther Marion Wolfe, 89, of Kingsport, passed away Friday, March 14, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Born in Scott County, VA, he was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in the European Theatre of Operation during World War II. Mr. Wolfe received four Bronze Stars. He was a member of the Charles DeWitt Byrd Post #3382 of the VFW.

Mr. Wolfe was a member of Manville Holiness Church. In accordance with Acts 2:38 he was a member of Apostolic Revival Center.

His wife, Elsie Wolfe; parents, Jacob Leonard and Ethel Maddux Wolfe; and several brothers preceded him in death.

He is survived by a stepsister, Ada Leona Brown; sisters-in-law, June Wolfe and Willie Wolfe; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Leonard Dixon officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Charles DeWitt Byrd Post #3382 of the VFW.

Pallbearers will be Terry Wolfe, Wendell Wolfe, Sherrill Wolfe, Danny Wolfe, John Wolfe, Ben Irwin, and Junior Stamper.
