Lyda Lee Littleton

Lyda Byington Littleton, 65, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, June 12, 2008, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born on August 5, 1942.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Herbert Byington and Edith Crawford Byington; an infant brother, Roy Edward Byington; a sister, Dessie Byington Bowser, a brother, Willie Ray "Bill" Byington on May 27, 2008.
Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years and 9 months, Erbie "Herbert" Littleton, Kingsport; 2 sisters, Iva Dykes and Betty Mullenix and husband Jerry, all of Kingsport; 2 special nieces, Kimberly "Dawn" Elliott and husband Travis, and Tory Waye, Kingsport; one very special great nephew, Caleb Trey Elliott, Kingsport; 2 very special great-nieces, Baylee Katlyn Waye and Rylee Grace Waye, Kingsport; 2 aunts, Irene Ramey, Greenwood, IN, and Nora Morelock, Indianapolis, IN; 2 uncles, Howard Crawford and wife Lois, and Rass Crawford, Kingsport; special lifelong friends, Benton and Kathleen Rasnake, Kingsport; and numerous cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch or any time at the home of the niece, Dawn Elliot and her husband Travis; for directions, please call 423-335-4036.
Services will be conducted on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch with Pastor Emery Clinton Ramey officiating. Music will be provided by Ed and Eleanor Ward. Burial will follow the service at Light Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Caleb Elliott, Travis Elliott, Billy Waye, Jerry Mullenix, Darryl Elliott, Andy Elliott, Dewey Goad, Glen Light, and Doug Crawford. Honorary pallbearers are Marcel Goad, Joe Barrett, Benton Rasnake, Roscoe Morelock, Garnie Crawford, and Ralph Littleton.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 4th floor at Holston Valley Medical Center for all of the kindness shown to our loved one and our family.
