Lydia Morelock Mullins, 94, of Blairs Gap community entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Brookhaven Manor.
Born in Hawkins County, TN on April 9, 1913, Lydia was the daughter of the late John Harvey and Mary Ellen Morelock. She was a member of Beech Creek Missionary Baptist Church. After moving to Kingsport in 1988, she lived at Kiwanis Towers for over 19 years and worshipped at Glenwood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Luther Mullins in 1987; three sisters, four brothers, and an infant brother.
Surviving are her nieces, Anna Morelock Head and Lochiel Light; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jack Morelock officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Mullins Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Elmo Light, James Head, and Roy Dolen. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Darnell and Reverend O.C. Dolen.
