Lynita M. Riner, 89, of Gray, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 2, 2014 at her home surrounded by those she loved. Born in Coeburn, VA on January 10, 1925, a daughter of the late Jim and Jenny Mitchell, she had resided in this area most of her life. She was a homemaker and attended Blessed Hope Baptist Church.

She will be remembered as a loving mom, mamaw and friend who loved attending church and being with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Phyllis A. Brown; son-in-law, Calvin A. Brown; brothers, Paul, Deward, Otis, and Jimmy "Ivory"; and sisters, Gracie, Stella, Lucy and Willie.

Lynita is survived by her daughter, Sue Hensley and husband, Lloyd of Gray; 3 granddaughters, April Reed of Gray, Connie Robbins and husband, Bryan of Harmony Community, Lori Gray and husband, Roger of Blountville; 5 great-grandchildren, Callie and Mattie Gray, Brook Reed, Jesse and Jake Robbins; special niece, Shirl Griffin of Jonesborough; other special people in her life, Faye Rhymer, Rev. Stanley Sims, Hannah and Richie Howell; and several additional nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Stanley Sims and Pastor Travis Pierson officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Those attending committal services are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 12:30 pm and then proceed to the cemetery

Pallbearers will be Roger Gray, Bryan Robbins, Jesse Robbins, Jake Robbins, Jack Meeks and Paul Sanders.
