Doris Linville ?Lynn? Clipse, 61, was born in Sullivan County where she lived before moving to Apex, NC, where she went to be with the Lord Saturday August 25, 2007 at Wake Med Cary in Cary, NC after brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Clipse; and her parents, Leonard and Ruby Moody.
Surviving are her loving husband of 42 years, Gary Clipse, of the home; one daughter, Sarah LeGassie and husband, ?Doc?; four grandchildren, Paul Depée, Adrian, Trevor, and Savannah LeGassie, all of Raleigh, NC; three sisters, Betty Prillhart, Johnson City, TN, Dolly Pruitt, Bluff City, TN, and Charlene Shipley, Kingsport, TN; and one brother, Archie Moody, Kingsport, TN.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport, or anytime at the home of her brother at 1418 Jackson Hollow Road, Kingsport, TN.
Funeral services will be Thursday in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. with David Moody officiating. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
