Mable Morelock Light
Mable B. Morelock Light, 84, 170 Reece Light Road, Rogersville, TN Beech Creek Community, went home to be with the Lord and her family Sunday, September 30, 2007, at Church Hill Healthcare and Rehab Center after a lengthy illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and a member of Mount Carmel Freewill Baptist Church.
Mable was preceded in death by her husband, Reece S. Light; a daughter, Brenda L. Hood; a granddaughter, Tammy A. Littleton; her father and mother, Rube and Vade Light Morelock; sisters, Montie, Mae, and Mary Morelock, and Mildred Morrison; and brothers, Ralph, Orn, Thurlie, and Gaines Morelock.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Gonce and husband, Bob, Phyllis Bernard and husband, Bobby; five grandchildren, Mitchell Littleton and wife, Tammy, Mark Littleton and wife, Missy, Brandi Gonce, Heather Harrison and husband, Jeff, and Hollie Longmire and husband, Lee; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport or any time at the home at 170 Reece Light Road Beech Creek Community, Rogersville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Orville Dolen and Rev. Keith Williams officiating. Music will be provided by the Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Choir and Crystal Williams, and Sue Burns.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Littleton, Mark Littleton, Zeke Littleton, Zack Littleton, Jeff Harrison, and Lee Longmire.
The family would like to thank each and everyone for the food, flowers, visits, cards, words of encouragement, and most of all your prayers. Also a special thank you to all the Church Hill Healthcare and Rehab staff for all the kindness and love they have shown to Mom during her stay.
