Mable Louise Simpson, 72, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Monday morning, August 10, 2009, at Wellmont Hospice in Bristol, TN.

Louise was born in Sullivan County. She was a member of Solomon's Temple Baptist Church. She retired from Food Lion. Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Donald Simpson; parents, James Wesley and Callie Crawford; brothers, Herbert Crawford, James Wesley Crawford, Jr., and Carl Crawford; sister, Edith Crawford; special nephew, Jack Crawford; and special niece, Reta Smith.

Surviving are her children, Glenda Wright and husband Larry, Wayne Simpson and wife Regina, and Scott Simpson; grandchildren, Ginger Moates and husband Tommy, Stephanie Gouge, Nacoma and Jeremiah Simpson; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Leeli, Maci, and Bailey; sister, Mary Light; brothers, Rev. John W. Crawford and wife Callie and Earl Crawford and wife Zella; special nieces, Barbara Jackson, Janice Ewing, Alice Mullins, Aileen Trivette, Freda McClure, and Phyllis Hubbard; sisters-in-law, Karon Simpson, Dorothy Simpson, and Ofa Hicks; and brothers-in-law, Ivy Simpson and Earl Simpson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday with Dr. Tim Perry and Dr. Bobby Bernard officiating. Honorary ministers will be Rev. Orville Dolen and Rev. John Crawford.

Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden of David. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Simpson, Hunter Moates, Tyler Bolinger, Tommy Moates, Tony Simpson, and Doug Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Solomon's Temple.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place; Memphis, TN 38105.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Paul Provance and his staff, Dr. Malcolm Matthews and Margaret, Kingsport Hematology & Oncology, Advanced Home Care, Dr. John Ehrenfried, Dr. Jerry London, Dr. George Gonzalez, Dr. Steven Baumrucker, and to the Wellmont Hospice and staff for all the loving care and kindness extended to our mom and our family.
