Mack Vernon Hall

Mack Vernon Hall, 86, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Born in Dante, VA, he had lived in this area most of his life. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Mack was a minister of the gospel, pastoring Mountain View Baptist Church in Watauga, TN for well over 40 years. He loved his garden and his grandkids. He was an excellent father and he loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Blanche Hall; parents, Rufus and Amy Griffith Hall; daughter, Teresa Darlene Hall; and 3 brothers, Clifford Hall, Giles Hall and Myers Hall.

Mack is survived by 3 daughters, Marti Ann Manness, Amy Strom and husband, Jeff, and Amanda Hall; son, Mack Hall; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Joann Stanley, Gloria Hubbard and Ruth Pruitt; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, 2018, from 4-6:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Roy Graves officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Fugate Family Cemetery in Castlewood, VA with military graveside rites presented by the American Legion Post 3/265.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
