Marcetta Lane McCurry

Marcetta Lane McCurry passed away on August 17, 2019 at the age of 92 at Shannondale in Maryville, TN.  She would have been 93 at the end of September.  She was a founding member of Miami Lakes Methodist Church in Miami Lakes, FL. Marcetta also was a member of Mafair United Methodist Church in Kingsport, TN. While in Kingsport, she taught 6th grade at Washington Elementary School where she met her future husband. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold McCurry, father Clark Lane, mother Venus Bishop Lane, sisters Vivian Harrison and Benny Murray, and nephew Mark Murray. 

Marcetta is survived by her niece Nancy Scott, nephew Edward Murray and great nieces and nephews.   

The graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Holston View Cemetery with The Rev. Adam Love officiating.  Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.  Those attending services should assemble at 11:00 am at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home and then proceed to the cemetery.
