Margaret Ann Vaughn

Margaret Ann Vaughn went to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 9th at Wexford House in Kingsport. She was born in Memphis, TN and grew up in Kingsport, TN.

She was preceded in death by: her father Dr. Paul W. Cox, mother Ivie Wilson Cox, and loving husband of 52 years Norman Vaughn.

Margaret is survived by 5 children she adored: Ricky and wife Becky, Sherry and husband Ken Shipley, Keith and wife Sherielyn, Jeffrey and wife Jody, Kristi and husband Bob Brinkerhoff, and adopted son Robie and wife Joy Henderson. She is also survived by her 4 dear sisters, Bernice and the late Jim Going, Pauline and husband Rick Frazier, Doris Cox, and Mary Cox. She had 13 grandchildren she loved very much: Corey and wife Brittany Vaughn, Roger Powell, Brandi and husband Brad Conkin, Chelsea Ferguson, Katie and husband Hunter Eaton, Cody Shipley, Natalie Vaughn, Dylan Vaughn, Luke Vaughn, Chase Vaughn, Zachary Vaughn, Kendra Shipley, and Lindsey Vaughn. She also has 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. What an amazing family and life she created here on this earth. She made memories that her family will cherish forever.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, November 11th from 5:00-7:00 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home with the service immediately following.

The graveside service will be at Logan's Chapel at 12:00 on Saturday the 12th. Those planning to go in procession are asked to meet at Hamlett-Dobson at 11:00 am. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and the services will be conducted by Rev. Bob Cole.
