Margaret "Tootsie" Barron

Margaret "Tootsie" Louise Barron, 76, Fall Branch, went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. She was a life-long resident of Washington County. She was employed in her earlier years at North Electric and Sperry. Margaret was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and especially loved growing flowers.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elbert Barron, Jr., parents, Mel and Estelle Parton; two brothers, Jack and Junior Parton; and one sister, Ruby Dykes.

Margaret is survived by one daughter, Mitzi McConnell and husband, David, Lawrenceville, GA; one son, Michael Barron and wife, Violet, Fall Branch; three grandchildren, Joni Walters and husband, Jason, Sean McConnell, and Scott McConnell; one great-grandaughter, Addilynn Walters; two sisters, Betty Ryans, Jonesborough, Shirley Greene and husband, Bobby, Loudon, TN; stepmother and best friend, Isabell Parton, Jonesborough; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Fall Branch.

The funeral service will be on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Vic Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
