Margaret Bright Crawford, 82, of Fall Branch, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Brookhaven Manor, following a brief illness.
She was born in Hiltons, VA on August 16, 1930 and her family moved to Tennessee in 1945, where she spent the majority of her life.
Margaret was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Blountville, TN. She was steadfast in her faith. Margaret was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruby Bright; two brothers, Douglas Bright and Joe Buddy Bright; sister, Sue Pippin; son-in-law, Wayne McGhee; and the father of her children, Austin Crawford.
Mrs. Crawford is survived by her four children; daughter, Janet McGhee, of Chuckey, TN; sons, Roger Crawford and wife, Sherry, of Jonesborough, Joe Crawford and wife, Tammy, of Rock Springs, Dewayne Crawford, of Kingsport. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Holly Crawford, Brandon McGhee, Brian Crawford, Amy Crawford, Mandi Crawford, Brandy Duncan, and Joe Buddy Crawford; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Teressa Smith and husband, Vernon, of Kingsport, Patsy Hood, of Bluff City; special friend, Ronnie Roberts.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be conducted Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport with Pastor Ronnie Horne officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
There will be a private burial in Chestnut Flats Cemetery.
