Rev. 21:4 And God shall wipe away all the tears from Their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.
Margaret Franklin Leedy Moretz went to sleep in this Earth on November 7, 2016, and woke up in heaven after several years of declining health. Born October 28, 1917 in Scott County, VA., to Orbin and Callie May Franklin, having lived most of her life in Kingsport. Margaret retired from Cedar Grove Cafeteria after 26 years of service, where she helped cook many meals for many hungry children. She was a kind, faithful, loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Margaret enjoyed cooking, gardening, and loved the Lord, her family, and her church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mack Leedy; husband, Fred. W. Leedy (father of her children); husband, Kelly Moretz; brothers, Fred, Hagie, Otis, and Joe K. Franklin; and sister, Myrtle Compton.
Margaret is survived by her son; William F. "Bill" Leedy (Hettie); daughter, Jane L. (James) Millsap; daughter-in-law, Patricia Leedy; step-daughter, Desirea Moretz (Phil) McConnell; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Grove Baptist Church "Love Meals: 125 Coley Street or Vermont Methodist Church "Love Meals" 1817 Bloomingdale Pink, Kingsport, TN 37660; or to Building Funds, New Hope Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 1116 Nelms Lane, Kingsport Tennessee 37665 or Beulah Baptist Church, 491 Beulah Church Road, Kingsport, Tennessee 37663.

To Amedysis Hospica Care and the staff of Wexford House- Thank you for all the love and care you showed to my mother.
Today she has new eyes to see; new ears to hear; new legs to walk on without a walker. Praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
