Margaret Neeley Matherly

Margaret Neeley Matherly, 93, of Kingsport, went to be with our Lord surrounded by her family on May 8, 2014. A native of Kingsport, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lucy Neeley. Margaret was a loyal member of Ketron Memorial United Methodist Church for many years and also held many offices at local and district levels for the United Methodist Women.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Matherly.

Margaret is survived by her two daughters, Susan Matherly Gosnell and husband, Charles of Johnson City, and Gayle Matherly Bogart and husband, Bob of Kingsport; three granddaughters, DeAnne Kamphausen and husband, John of Gilbert, AZ, Lori Hughes and husband, Jim of Johnson City, and Luci Tate and husband, Danny of Piney Flats; six great-grandchildren, Jacob Skowronski, Cameron Kamphausen, Devon Hull, Carson Tate, Dylan Tate and Victoria Hughes; sister, Charlie Zebrowski; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. David Franzus and staff for the special care they gave to Margaret.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 12-2:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Caleb Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Charles Gosnell, Bob Bogart, Jim Hughes, Danny Tate, Jacob Skowronski, Cameron Kamphausen and John Kamphausen. The Honorary Pallbearer will be Mike Skowronski.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Ketron Memorial United Methodist Church, 301 Virgil Avenue, Kingsport, TN 37665.
