Margaret Lea King Selby, 76, passed away peacefully Sunday (May 24, 2015) ending her battle with Alzheimers.
Margaret graduated from Sullivan High School and married Joseph "Joe Pat" Selby. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. The love she had for her grandsons knew no end.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph "Joey" Selby; parents, Knox and Ruby King; and one brother, Bill King.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joe Pat Selby; her children, LaDonna Carey Curtis (Dennis) and Mark Selby (Sara); sisters, Betty Joe Mitchell and Pat Norwood; brother, Tom King; sisters-in-law, Peggy (Bill) King and Wilma (Tom) King ; her grandsons, Aaron and Jake Selby and Nicholas Carey; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will honor Margaret's life during visitation from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, sharing memories of the love and goodness she quietly showed through her life.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday at Gunning's Cemetery, Blountville, TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, East Tennessee Chapter, 355 Trane Lane, Knoxville, TN 37919 or to the charity of your choice.
