Margaret Skeen

Margaret (Persinger) Skeen, age 92, of Kingsport, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord with her family at her side on January 31, 2020 at Holston Valley Medical Center.  She was a loving mother, mamaw, and loved everyone. 

Born and raised in Kingsport to the late James and Dona Persinger, Margaret attended Sunrise Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edward B. Skeen, one sister and 9 brothers.

Margaret is survived by her seven children, Johnny (Rita) Persinger, Church Hill, TN, Gary (Connie) Skeen, Kingsport, TN, Linda (Paul) Maddox, Kingsport, TN, Dianna Mantooth, Morristown, TN, Connie (Randy) Shupe, Kingsport, TN, Tim (Tammy) Skeen, Kingsport, TN, Helen Skeen Webb, Kingsport, TN; Nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 3, 2020 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.  The funeral service will follow with Rev. Dewey Williams and Rev. Randall Shupe officiating.  The graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Skeen, Kris Stainer, Dennis Maddox, Kaleb Whiten, Dustin Raymond and Bobby Lawless. Honorary Pallbearers will be Earl Hulse, Preston Williams and Camdon Whiten.
