Margie Ann Moody Jennings, 84, of Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a long illness. She was a graduate of Blountville High School and was employed by Tennessee Eastman for 13 years before leaving to become a full-time homemaker after the birth of her son.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Edgar and Ollie Mae (Dillow) Moody, and brothers, Clifton, James, Clay, Ray, and William Moody.
Margie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lester Jennings of the home; son, Dr. Gregory Jennings of Indianapolis, IN; brother, J.B. Moody and wife, Ida Moody of Kingsport; sister, Louise Williams of Sevierville; sister-in-law, Emogene Moody of Kingsport; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wellmont Hospice for all their attention and care given during her illness.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm on Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Dr. T. Glen Moody officiating.
The graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to go in procession should meet at the funeral home at 1:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be Barry Moody, Jared Moody, Richard Moody, Ray Moody, Jr., Jerry Moody, and Spencer Moody.
