Margie Renfro

Margie Carson Renfro, 63, of Kingsport, passed away unexpectedly Sunday night, February 13, 2011, at Indian Path Medical Center.

Margie was born in Columbia, SC, and graduated from Airport High School. She had resided in Kingsport since 1990. While in Columbia she worked for Bell South for many years. She currently was employed at Washington Elementary School in Food Service. Margie loved Edisto Beach, collecting sea shells, working on her crafts, and playing the piano. She especially loved time with her family.

Margie was preceded in death by her father, Harold W. Carson, Sr., and her brother, Harold W. Carson, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Jamie Renfro, of the home; four daughters, Karen Isaacs and husband, Anthony, Concord, NC, Tracey Honeycutt, Kingsport, Ashley Renfro, of the home, and Robyn Renfro and fianc e, Jeff Connelly, of the home; a son, Michael Renfro and wife Jackie, Asheville, NC; five grandchildren, Forrest and Skylar Renfro, Zachary Isaacs, Makenzie and Dexter Connelly; her mother, Margaret Carson, Kingsport, formerly of West Columbia, SC; good friends, Jim Williamson, Charlotte, NC, and Jay Renfro, Asheville, NC; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Diane Renfro, Bryn Mawr, PA, Jimmy and Ann Dominick, Orangeburg, SC, Holly Keys, Atlanta, GA; and special friends, Peggy Webb and Kathy Scott.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 5:00, with Pastor J. W. Depew officiating.
