Marie Faust

Marie Dye Faust, 96, of Kingsport, died early Friday morning, December 8, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family. Marie was born on May 31, 1927 in Mendota, VA and was a long-time member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Faust; son, John Edward Faust Jr; parents, Mamie Lee Leonard and Carl Ervin Dye; sisters, and Gerry Wright and Helen Patrick.

She is survived by daughter, Becky Faust Bonds; daughter-in-law, Cathie Faust; grandchildren, Matthew Bonds (Aubrey), Allison Bonds Seckler (Tyler), and Elizabeth Faust; great-grandchildren, Londyn and Paisley Seckler, Asher Bonds, Bree and Mason Keeling; special nieces, Carol Carmack Phillips, Beverly Stewart, Kim Hutton; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. William Randall Frye officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
