Marie Rose Kay

Kingsport - Marie Rose Kay died at her home and went to heaven on Friday October 26. Marie was born on January 18, 1952 in Butare, Rwanda. Along with her family, she came to the United States in June 1997 and moved to Kingsport shortly thereafter. Marie-Rose was a gracious hostess and loving wife and mother. She spent free time at the Kingsport Farmers' Market and was known for her wide variety of baked creations. She had a gift for making even strangers feel welcomed and found great joy in her family. Marie-Rose was preceded in death by her father, Denis Ntabareshya and mother, Catherine Nyirantama. She is survived by her husband Antoine Kay and their sons Tony and Kevin. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00pm, Saturday, November 3rd at First Broad Street United Methodist Church. The service will begin at 1:00pm with Rev. Mickey Rainwater and Rev. Jack P. Weikel officiating.
