Marie Overbay

Marie Overbay, 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. She grew up in Smyth County, VA but had lived in Kingsport, TN since 1952, and moved to Knoxville in 2009.

She was preceded in death by husband, Rubin Overbay; her parents, Ernest and Blanche Musser; one brother; three sisters; and son-in-law, Sam Chellino.

Marie is survived by two daughters, Jean Chellino, and Linda Sauls and husband, Don; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Nathy Riley of Oregon, Wretha Green and Jean Bailey of Texas, and Irene Watson of Blountville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Don Sauls officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made the charity of one's choice.
