Marie C. Sluss

Marie C. Sluss, 92, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 21, 2019. She was a lifelong member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church. Marie retired from Walmart after 35 years of service. She liked gardening, quilting, and caring for her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Charlie and Nellie Carroll; brothers, Arnold and Bennie Carroll; niece, Tammy Higgins; and son-in-law, Chuck W. Long.

Marie is survived by her loving daughter, Connie Long; grandchildren, Miranda and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Mila, and Gabrielle; sister, Jane Carroll; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019, at Rock Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Carole Martin and Rev. Dusty Wallen officiating.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
