Marion J. "Jack" Frye

Jack Frye, 81, of Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Greene County, TN, and had lived most of his life in Fall Branch. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had retired from Mason-Dixon truck line. He enjoyed raising a garden and reading. He was a friend to everyone and enjoyed visiting his friends as well as those who were shut-in. Mr. Frye had a contagious smile and always a kind word to say to everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Louis Frye and Ruth Charleton Frye.

Jack is survived by his wife and loving companion of twenty years, Peggy Page of Fall Branch; Peggy's children, that he treated as his own, Lori and Mark Kolarsky of Fall Branch, Rita Dockery, Larry Page, and Chris Page all of Kingsport; three grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylee, and Kanon Kolarsky; two sisters, Frankie Brumley, and Kathy Higgins and husband, Bobby, all of Fall Branch; brother, Norman E. Frye, Sr., and wife, Barbara of Kingsport; special niece, Tamara Beard and husband, Jay; three nephews, Norman E. Frye, Jr., Roy E. Frye, and Scottie Higgins; and great-nephew, Austin Beard.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedysis Hospice and especially to his nurse, Stacy.

The family will receive friends at anytime at the home at 211 Lovelace Road, Fall Branch.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Fall Branch. The service will follow at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday with Rev. E. B. Moore and Rev. Fred Byington officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Posts 3/265.
