Marjorie Morgan Rule, 94, of Kingsport, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at Indian Path Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Evansville, IN, graduated high school in Des Moines, Iowa and later moved to Knoxville, TN and attended business school. Marjorie had resided in Kingsport since 1995. She worked as a receptionist/secretary for Dr. Lyle Snyder in Blowing Rock, North Carolina for many years, was an avid birdwatcher/feeder and had a great sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur "Web" Rule and son Wilbur "Walt" Rule, Jr.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter Ann Finney and son-in-law Dean of Kingsport; five grandchildren Keith Finney, Leigh Ann Laube, Kevin Rule, Kelley Rule and Karen Powell; seven great-grandchildren, Lauren Casey Laube, Micah Benjamin Laube, Dawson Walter Rule, Chase Jay Rule, Paxton Michael Powell, Joseph Hayes Powell and Kate Marie Powell; brother Hugh Kenneth Morgan and wife Gayle of Greenville, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Tri-Cities Memory Gardens in Blountville, Tennessee on Thursday, September 29th at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Raymond Amos officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
