Marjorie Smith

For those in her life she loved to give, never thought of herself, that's just how she lived.

Marjorie V. Wilson Smith, 67, of Kingsport, formerly of Sarasota, Fl, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Born in Newtown, CT on September 11, 1946, a daughter of the late Art and Ginny Wilson, she had resided in this area since 2008, moving from Sarasota, FL. She was a member of Celebration Church, Blountville, and will be remembered as a loving Mom, Gram, sister and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Gary Smith, in 1998.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Michelle Reid and husband, Michael of Gastonia, NC, and Doug Smith and wife, Sebrena of Kingsport; grandchildren, Alec, Austin and Alyssa Smith, and Joshua Tines; and brother, Spence Wilson of Sarasota, FL.

Family and friends will gather at 9:30 am on Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Kingsport. A celebration service will follow at 10:00 am with Dr. Robert Russell officiating.
